In Val-de-Reuil, France, a dramatic scene unfolded as gangsters attacked a prisoner transport vehicle, freeing a notorious criminal named Mohamed A. Two prison guards were killed, and three others were seriously injured in the violent incident, leaving the nation puzzled about the motives behind the brutal attack. The criminals, armed and using a Peugeot to ram into the van carrying Mohamed A., opened fire before ultimately rescuing him and fleeing in two getaway vehicles. One of the cars was later discovered burnt out in the area, with the whereabouts of the perpetrators currently unknown.
Nicknamed "La Mouche" (the Fly), Mohamed A. was recently sentenced to 18 months in prison for grand theft, with the crimes occurring between August and October 2019 in Évreux. Known for being the head of a drug network, he faced even more serious charges related to attempted murder and intentional manslaughter in connection with a drug deal. Over the years, "La Mouche" had spent time in various prisons, with reports indicating an attempt to saw through the bars of his cell. Subsequently, he was placed in solitary confinement two days prior as a precautionary measure, with security levels heightened due to the escape plot.
